LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Laser Hair Removal offers a safe, effective, and long-lasting solution for unwanted hair. This treatment uses laser energy to target hair follicles beneath the skin’s surface, heating and disabling them to inhibit future growth. Over a series of sessions, you’ll notice smoother skin and reduced regrowth for lasting results.
Most commonly treated areas include the face, legs, underarms, bikini line, back, and chest. Multiple sessions are typically required to achieve the best outcome, as hair grows in cycles and the laser targets follicles during the active growth phase.
PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
• Consultation required: Schedule a consultation with one of our Medical Aestheticians to review your medical history, skin type, and treatment goals.
Note: Our laser targets pigment in dark hair only—it will not effectively treat blonde, red, or gray hair.
• Avoid sun exposure: Stay out of the sun, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for 2 weeks before treatment to minimize risk of burns or pigmentation changes.
• Shave the treatment area: Shave the area the day before or morning of your appointment. Avoid waxing, plucking, or depilatory creams, as the hair follicle must remain intact for treatment to work.
• Discontinue active skincare products: Stop using retinoids, AHAs, and BHAs for 1 week prior to treatment to reduce skin sensitivity.
• Discuss medications: Inform your provider of any medications, topical creams, or medical conditions, including a history of cold sores or skin infections.
POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
• Avoid sun exposure: Protect the treated area for 2 weeks with SPF 30+ and sun-protective clothing.
• Soothe and hydrate: Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturizer or post-procedure cream to calm redness or irritation.
• Avoid heat: Skip hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and hot baths for 24–48 hours after treatment.
• Be gentle: Avoid exfoliants, acne products, or harsh skincare for 1 week post-procedure.
• Do not scratch or pick: Allow any mild redness or bumps to resolve naturally to prevent infection or scarring.
• Follow your treatment plan: Most patients need a series of sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart for best results.
• Report any concerns: Contact your provider if you notice severe redness, blistering, or crusting.
